“24 Killed; 21 Injured At Last Night’s Bomb Blast In Yobe” – Reports.

     
No fewer than 24 people yesterday reportedly lost their lives in a suicide blast which occurred in Damaturu, Yobe State capital.
At least 21 others were equally injured in the same blast, residents of Damaturu revealed.
According to them, the blast which occurred at a viewing center also left pieces of human parts scattered at the scene of the blast Tuesday night.
“I counted 15 dead bodies at the scene, but later, we were told that more corpses were found, bringing the total to 24 dead and 21 injured”, Alhaji Kabiru Saleh told newsmen.
Doctors and nurses at the emergency ward of the Sani Abacha General Hospital described the incident as horrific.
Also a relative of one of the injured persons at the hospital, Mala Sheriff further disclosed that the suicide bomber came in a Keke NAPEP, and was shouting “allahu Akbar” as he rammed into the crowd watching football at the viewing center.
“We told our people not to go to the viewing center to watch football as NTA is broadcasting the match, but some of our youths are so attached to the viewing center where they can shout and do all sorts of things.
“Well, it has happened and there is nothing anyone can do about it. The killer also went with them, it remains between him and Allah”, he said.
