Nigeria has been defeated in the round of 16 matchup with france today. The eagles were routed 2-0 with goals from pogba and Antoine guzmann

From my diagnosis of the match, problems started for naija immediately ogenyi onazi was substituted, the 'pipe' they brought as his replacement,reuben was just utterly useless.

Mikel and Moses were no where to be found in the match...mikel was just dancing around the field making a lot of pass mistakes, Emenike who is a striker was playing as a winger. though i'm sad no more blogging for tonight Anywaiz they tried and i'm so proud of them .....now let's prepare to welcome them home.

It was a night full of electrifying performances, emotional speeches and unforgettable moments at the “BET Award '14” - also known as the "Black World Cup," according to hilarious host Chris Rock -- which took place at the Nokia Theatre at L.A. LIVE last night (Sunday 29 June).

The the “BET Award '14” will premiere on BET International across Africa on 1 July at 21:00 WAT/22:00 CAT (Red carpet show begins @ 20:00 WAT/21:00 CAT).

Young Money and Beyoncé both took home three awards, as did acclaimed film “12 Years A Slave” which swept the film award categories.  Pharrell Williams and August Alsina each won two awards, while Nigerian phenomenon Davido bought home the trophy for Best International Act: Africa.

Nigerian Military Arrest A Key Actor In Chibok Girls Abduction; Bust Terrorists’ Intelligence Network.

A terrorists’ intelligence cell headed by a businessman who participated actively in the abduction of School Girls in Chibok has been busted by troops.   The man, Babuji Ya’ari who is also a member of the Youth Vigilante Group popularly known as Civilian JTF which he uses as cover while remaining an active terrorist, also spearheaded the murder of the Emir of Gwoza.  His main role in the group is to spy and gather information for the terrorists group.

Babuji has been coordinating several deadly attacks in Maiduguri since 2011, including the daring attacks on Customs and military locations as well as the planting of IEDs in several locations in the town.
The arrest of the businessman who is known to deal in tricycles has also yielded some vital information and facilitated the arrest of other members of the terrorists’ intelligence cell who are women.  One of them, Hafsat Bako had earlier escaped to Gombe State to avoid suspicion but was tracked and arrested.  Prior to her arrest, Hafsat coordinated the payment of other operatives on the payroll of the group.   In her confession, she disclosed that a minimum of N10,000 is paid to each operative depending on the enormity of his task.
Another female suspect named Haj Kaka who doubles as an armourer and a spy for the terrorists group has also been arrested.  Until their arrest, all the suspects actively operated a terrorists’ intelligence cell in collaboration with others still at large.

In another development, troops deployed in Goniri, Yobe State, over the weekend, had an encounter with terrorists, resulting in casualties on both sides after the attack was successfully repelled.

Rick Ross Arrested!!

Rick Ross was arrested following a concert in North Carolina this weekend.
The rapper was taken into custody after his 102 JAMZ SuperJam performance in Greensboro late Friday.
A judge had issued a warrant due to Ross’ failure to appear in court on an outstanding drug possession charge.
The performer had previously been arrested on the misdemeanor marijuana charge in Greensboro last year. He was ultimately released on $1,000 bond.

“Oscar Pistorius Was Not Mentally ill During Shooting” – Medical Report.

A psychiatric panel and a psychologist have found that Paralympian Oscar Pistorius, who is facing charges of murdering his girlfriend, is not mentally ill, the state prosecutor said Monday.

“Mr Pistorus did not suffer from a mental illness or defect that would have rendered him criminally not responsible for the offence charged,” said state prosecutor Gerrie Nel, reading from the psychologist report, one of two reports that said the star runner should be held criminally.
The South African sprinter is accused of gunning down Steenkamp through a locked bathroom door in his home on Valentine’s Day of last year (2013).

Nicknamed the “Blade Runner,” Pistorius has admitted to the shooting but pleaded not guilty to premeditated murder, alleging he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder.

If found guilty of murder, Mr Pistorius, who went on trial on 3 March this year, could face life imprisonment. If he is acquitted of that charge, the court would consider an alternative charge of culpable homicide, for which he could receive about 15 years in prison.

Ex Rapper Ice-T’s ( "Ice loves Koko") Grandson, 19, Charged With Killing His Roommate In Atlanta.

The grandson of rapper/actor Ice-T (remember him from reality tv show "Ice loves Koko") is facing murder charges in Atlanta. According to a report by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Elyjah Marrow, 19, killed his roommate Daryus Johnson, 19, by mistake.

Marrow was apparently mishandling a gun when he accidentally pulled the trigger and shot Johnson. After the shooting, Johnson was rushed to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where he later died.

Marrow has been arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter. He also faces charges of reckless conduct, possession of firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Marrow, who appeared on Ice-T’s reality show, “Ice Loves Coco,” is currently being held in the Cobb County jail. Ice-T has yet to comment on the incident.

2014 World Cup: Maharaj Ji Predicts Victory For Super Eagles Over France.

According to Daily Post, Sat Guru Maharaj Ji, the Head of the “One Love Family” Ibadan, on Sunday predicted victory for the Super Eagles ahead of their clash with the Blues of France in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
His prediction is contained in a statement signed by Wole Oladapo, the Minister for Media Links of the One Love Family.
The Super Eagles are billed to take on their French counterparts on Monday in the Round of 16 of at the Mundial.
Victory for the Eagles in the match will qualify them for their first quarter-final berth, while a defeat will see them knocked out of the tournament.
He reminded the Nigerian Football Association, Super Eagles Supporters Club, players and coaching crew to be obedient to his earlier divine injunctions, such as avoiding the colour Blue and abstaining from sex, smoking and drinking.
“This is, however, the time for the whole world to know and realise the fact that Nigeria is where the light of the world resides. Victory is for Africa,’’ the statement said.
