Dora Nkem Akunyili, OFR,Died In India This Morning At 10am, After Two-Year Battle With Cancer”.

  

Former Governor of Anambra State who was in India to visit Akunyili last month has said she died around 10:00am this morning in a Specialist Cancer Hospital in India. Here is a  press statement released and signed by him. May her soul continue to rest in peace.

“On behalf of the Akunyili’s family, I wish to officially
confirm the death of Prof. (Mrs.) Dora Nkem Akunyili, OFR,
in a Specialist Cancer Hospital in India this morning at 10
am, Nigerian Time, after a two-year battle with cancer”.
“In spite her illness, Prof. Akunyili was unwavering in her
belief in a better Nigeria. That was why she defied her
condition and was part of Anambra State Handover
Committee and the National Conference,” he said.
“The last time I visited her in India, even when she needed
all the prayers herself, she was full of concern for the
abducted Chibok girls, security and other challenges facing
the country and told me that she remained prayerful for the
release of those girls and for God to help President
Goodluck Jonathan to overcome all the challenges facing
the Nation. She therefore urged all Nigerians to remain
prayerful and committed to building a better society for our
children. We all prayed together and I promised to be
visiting her every month,” the statement added.

His assault trial will begin in a few months and his case over the bar fight with Drake has been dropped as well. c'mon they need to give this guy a break , he's been through a lot already.

Good News: Christ Embassy Denies Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Marriage Breakup

                              
Phew that's some good news there. Christ Embassy International church officials have denied the report making rounds that the General Overseer, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has divorced his wife, Rev. Anita.
According to a Pastor who identified herself simply as Pastor Mercy, said the report was false saying: “It is not true; it is a rumour. All these things are make-up stories.”
Another member of the church dismissed the reports as speculations. She said it could only be confirmed by an official press release by the leadership of the church.
“There are issues, yes, but the Facebook post is an absolute fallacy,” the member, who pleaded anonymity, said.
The news went viral on May 28 after a facebook page which was called ‘Where is Rev. Anita Oyakhilome? was opened by some memebers of the church who were worried about the absence of Rev.Anita in the church who had not been seen with her husband Pastor Chris since November, 2013.
A purported speech made by Pastor Chris on 6/05/2014 in a meeting with all UK Pastors and Deacons at Christ Embassy, Bermondsey was posted on the facebook page.
In pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Speech he said: “I am here for your concerns about the ongoing domestic issue with my wife and I know it affects you directly, being the ones under her leadership. This is not an organisation or a political party, so it’s not a place for you to air your opinion or scrutinise what we do.
